Android Apps for Autism

Fuhu is supporting autism awareness and research through its creation of the Inspire Special Needs Program.  The goal is to raise money, awareness, assist parents of special needs children, and develop products/tools for this community.  Many devoted Nabi owners have asked about apps aimed at the android system and it is my intent to find more apps that our children can use on their Nabis.  The following apps can be found on Amazon,  App Zone, and Google.

Quick Talk AAC

Quick Talk was designed with a simple mission - to change the world by giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Quick Talk can equip those who are non-verbal with the ability to communicate.

Autism & PDD Comparatives/Superlatives Lite

This app is based on the best-selling Buddy Bear software and storybooks. Buddy Bear helps children compare and contrast items and learn descriptive vocabulary and morphological word endings (“-er” and “-est”) . Five interactive stories also develop joint attention, reciprocity, and early language skills.

Autism Speech Diego Says
Uses the basic needs of your child in order to improve communication.

Speech therapists commonly refer to JABtalk as an easy and effective augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. By combining personalized voice and images with an extremely simple user interface, JABtalk delivers a speech solution that is both fun to use and easy to learn.
